A Farm for Healing,
Learning & Growth
HEALing SoIL Boutique Farm is more than a place that grows food. It is a restorative landscape grounded in wellness, sustainability, and access to land.
Our Mission
Our work brings together herbal growing, aquaponics, worm farming, pollinator habitat, and community learning — building practical skills while reconnecting people to the land and to one another.
Our Vision
Grow from a community garden into a replicable farm incubator model that rural communities across the country can adapt — transforming underutilized land into places where people grow food, build businesses, and create generational wealth.

Dr. Quianya L. Enge-Harris
Founder & CEO
A community leader with lived experience, Dr. Enge-Harris is the founder of Beyond the Walls and supports people directly impacted by the carceral system.
Her vision joins agricultural opportunity with healing-centered practice, business development, reentry support, and long-term community ownership.
South Side Chicago grit. Southern Illinois soil. Generational vision.
The farm carries a distinctly Gen X energy: resourceful, self-directed, soulful, and unwilling to wait for broken systems to make room. Land, legacy, and liberation are not slogans — they are the work.
Where Others End, We Begin
Beyond Education
Most beginning farmer programs end with a certificate. We provide the actual land, tools, and ongoing support to turn that education into real farming.
Healing-Centered
We recognize that building a life in agriculture means healing the whole person. Trauma-informed approaches are woven into everything we do.
Reentry to Leadership
We change the narrative from reentry to land stewardship and community leadership, creating pathways to ownership and economic independence.
The Beyond the Walls Connection
HEALing SoIL Boutique Farm grows from the roots of Beyond the Walls, Dr. Enge-Harris's community network that has been building bridges for returning citizens and their families. The farm is a natural extension of that mission — providing not just support, but land, purpose, and a pathway to economic independence.
